The University of Minnesota’s Twin Cities campus will finally get a new stadium, under legislation approved over the weekend by the state Legislature, the Pioneer Press reported today. The plan for the $248-million, 50,000-seat arena appears to largely follow the proposal endorsed in March by the university’s Board of Regents (The Chronicle, March 28). Gov. Tim Pawlenty has said he will sign the legislation.
