Stanford U. Increases Aid to Cover Tuition for Low-Income Students
Stanford University has joined a growing number of elite universities in offering free tuition to students from low-income families.
The change, announced in March, eliminates required contributions from families with annual incomes of less than $45,000.
The university says it will also halve contribution requirements for middle-income parents. Under the new program, families earning from $45,000 to $60,000 a year will be expected to contribute a yearly average of
