Spoof Spawns Cash
It's table-turning at its best. The Fightin' Whites, an intramural basketball team at the University of Northern Colorado, have brought in some major green -- $100,000 worth -- for future American Indian college students.
The team chose the name last February to protest nearby Eaton High School's refusal to change its mascot, the Fightin' Reds, which students at Northern Colorado found offensive (The Chronicle, March 29, 2002).
The Fightin' Whites also began selling
