Spencer Foundation Gets New Leader
Michael S. McPherson, president of Macalester College, has announced that he will leave the liberal-arts college in May to become president of the Spencer Foundation, a major financial supporter of educational research.
He will succeed Ellen Condliffe Lagemann, who left this year to become dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
