Spain Joins World Bank Push for Distance Education in Third World

The Spanish government agreed in February to participate in a distance-learning system being established by the World Bank, through which students in developing nations will learn from professors in developed countries.

Under the agreement, the National University for Distance Education, in Madrid, will provide courses for delivery in Latin American countries, including Bolivia and the Dominican Republic.
