Southern U. Settles Lawsuit
The Southern University System Board of Supervisors has agreed to give a new job to a congressman's wife who had complained of being unjustly removed from an administrative post for calling attention to alleged fiscal mismanagement.
As part of a settlement reached last month, the board offered Andrea G. Jefferson a newly created administrative post and $50,000 in exchange for her agreement to drop both a lawsuit challenging her previous dismissal and a separate whistle-blower
