Southern U. Chancellor to Oust Administrator
The Southern University System's Board of Supervisors has voted unanimously to let the chancellor of the New Orleans campus remove a politically prominent administrator who had claimed whistle-blower protection.
Andrea G. Jefferson, vice chancellor for academic affairs, had challenged the decision of Chancellor Joseph Bouie Jr. to reassign her to a faculty job. At a meeting last month, the board voted, with little discussion, not to hear her appeal.
