Southern Illinois Chief Fights Copying Charge
The president of the Southern Illinois University system has issued a 1,000-word statement defending himself and the chancellors of the system's two campuses against accusations of plagiarism, and questioning the motives of those making the charges.
The accusations have been brought by supporters of Chris Dussold, a former professor at Southern Illinois at Edwardsville who was fired in 2004 for plagiarizing a two-page teaching statement. Mr. Dussold contends that he was dismissed
