South Korea Creates Grant Program to Lure Top Foreign Scholars to Its Universities
South Korea is hoping to lure scores of top American researchers to work at its universities in the latest government-led plan to internationalize the nation's insular higher-education system
The $800-million World Class Universities program has attracted applications from about 1,000 foreign academics, including more than 400 from the United States, according to the Korea Science and Engineering Foundation, the government-affiliated body that administers the program.
