South African Scientist Admits Faking Data in Cancer Study

A South African cancer specialist's confession that he falsified data in a clinical study of breast-cancer treatment has created an international furor.

Two cancer experts from the United States are scheduled to fly to South Africa this month to give evidence at a disciplinary hearing for Werner Bezwoda, professor and head of the University of the Witwatersrand's hematology and clinical oncology department.
