Colleges That Charged $50,000 or More in 2011-12

In the past academic year, 123 institutions charged students $50,000 or more for tuition, fees, room, and board, up from 100 institutions the previous year. Many students paid less, however, because of financial aid.

* Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's 2010-11 total for tuition, fees, room, and board was revised on October 27, 2010, to reflect a change made by the College Board.
