Sorority Shut Down Amid Accusation That Members Arranged a Date Rape
Officials at Sam Houston State University shut down a campus sorority last month for allegedly violating a Texas law against hazing. A few months earlier, a former student had charged that her sorority sisters drugged her and arranged for her to be sexually assaulted so that she would lose her virginity.
Police officers in Huntsville, Tex., investigated the incident last spring, but a grand jury declined to indict anyone. Sam Houston State officials declined
