Some Staff Members Love Working in Academe
To the Editor:
I read with some disappointment Rachel Toor's September 8 contribution to The Chronicle ("Being in, but Not of, the Academy," The Review), and I would like to present a different view of support-staff members ... who choose to work in an academic setting. Without sounding too much like a groupie, I would like to suggest that some of us are here simply because we love the institution.
