Some Science Lobbyists Irk GOP Leaders in Congress

Advocates seeking another big spending increase for the National Institutes of Health have enjoyed support from members of Congress in both parties. But when budget negotiations recently entered the homestretch, ardent efforts by a few lobbyists irritated some of their patrons in Congress.
