Some N.J. College Employees Get $10,000 Offer to Live in Inner Cities
New Jersey's impoverished inner cities are probably some of the last places anyone in the state would choose to live. But some college employees are now being offered $10,000 to take the plunge for at least five years.
The state's $2.5-million community-housing program, announced this month, will provide $10,000 in down-payment assistance, or $5,000 for building-exterior improvements, to full-time employees of 13 public colleges who live in designated urban
