Some Colleges See Fund-Raising Potential in Commercially Designed Web Sites for Alumni
This past summer, the Texas Tech Ex-Students Association, an alumni organization, held its first on-line auction. The total take amounted to $600.
Measured by its profits, the effort, in which Texas Tech University memorabilia were offered for sale, wasn't worth the bother. But it is a sign that as alumni affairs move into the digital age, fund raising will follow.
