Some College Dining Services Phase Out Trans Fats
Move over, deep-fried cafeteria French fry. Here comes something healthier: a deep-fried cafeteria French fry with zero grams of trans fat.
Responding to a wave of fat consciousness last year, Starbucks and KFC removed trans fats from some of their products. Recently, New York City outlawed the chemically altered ingredients in all its 20,000 restaurants.
And in January, Aramark, the Philadelphia-based food-service corporation, announced it would cut the fat from the frying oil
