Software That Grades Students' Essays

Dennis Baron's criticism of the Intelligent Essay Assessor includes a number of excellent points ("When Professors Get A's and Machines Get F's," Point of View, November 20). A few other points, however, reveal a misunderstanding of how the computer program works.
