Sociologists Navigate Boundaries of Their Discipline at Annual Meeting
The 101st annual meeting of the American Sociological Association here in August drew more than 5,000 sociologists to Quebec's biggest city.
Montreal's mild temperatures and joie de vivre banished the shadow of the multiple labor disputes that had compelled the association to move the site of this year's meeting twice -- first from New York City to San Francisco, and then to Canada (The Chronicle, August 17, 2005).
