Society and Journal Split Over Conflict Issues
Tensions between the American Society of Hypertension and its official journal broke open late last month, when each announced it was severing ties with the other.
The rift between the professional association, which has more than 3,000 researchers and clinicians as members, and the American Journal of Hypertension was rooted in disputes over editorial control and potential conflicts of interest.
