Smith College to Assure Pay for All Interns
The unpaid internship will soon become a thing of the past for juniors and seniors at Smith College.
The women's college unveiled a new program this week that will eventually insure that every junior or senior who pursues an internship will be paid for her work -- even if the college has to cough up the money itself.
Students will be eligible to receive up to $2,000 from Smith for 220 hours of work. A
