Living between disparate cultures is never an easy balancing act, but that's the predicament of a sizable number of female college students. The number of women in higher education has escalated, but psychologists, college counselors, and cultural critics warn us that numbers alone have not eliminated the challenges that women face. Depending on the institution or the field of study, they may have to excel in a variety of ways to prove their worth.
