As the individual at my university who oversees our partnership program with community colleges, I was very interested by the article about community colleges' offering bachelor's degrees ("Making Waves in Miami," April 11). I do not see this as a shocking trend. ...
Community colleges are an important part of their neighborhoods. Why would a community college not wish to satisfy its own constituency to the highest degree level possible? ...
