On the same day a campus shooting left three people dead in Louisiana, a student was injured after being shot in the leg this morning at Greenville Technical College, in South Carolina. But the student told the police it was a self-inflicted accident, the Associated Press reported. The victim’s injuries, initially feared to be the result of an attack, were reported as not life-threatening. —Beckie Supiano
