Shaw U. Names Heavyweight Boxing Champion as Trustee
Shaw University has just recruited a trustee who it hopes will be a knockout as both a donor and an investment adviser.
Evander Holyfield, the world heavyweight boxing champion, is one of the newest members of Shaw's Board of Trustees. According to Talbert O. Shaw, the university's president, Mr. Holyfield was recommended by the boxer's friend,Willie E. Gary, a lawyer who is the board's chairman.
