Shared Governance and Faculty Unions
To the Editor:
I support the concept of shared governance ("Centralizing Governance Isn't Simply Wrong; It's Bad Business, Too," Opinion, February 12). The non-unionized University of California system (of which I was a part) is one of the best examples of shared governance in the country. In contrast, the unionized California State University system is one of the best examples of why faculty unions subvert
