Sexual Harassment Cited in Japan
More faculty and technical-staff members at Japanese national universities were punished for sexual harassment last year than ever before, government education officials report.
In 2001, 32 professors and other teaching-staff members at the 101 state-run universities were punished for sexually harassing students, compared with 11 in 2000, according to a report from the Ministry of Education, Sports, Culture, Science, and Technology.
