Senators Debate Medical-Privacy Rules
The Bush administration should revise new regulations governing the privacy of medical records to respond to concerns raised by universities, Sen. Bill Frist, the only physician in the Senate, said last week. The senator, a Tennessee Republican, said the regulations could impede important biomedical studies.
