Senate Panel Pushes Forward With Education-Spending Bill

The maximum Pell Grant would increase by $200, to $5,550, in the 2010-11 academic year under a $163-billion spending bill approved today by the U.S. Senate Appropriations subcommittee on labor, health, and education.
