Senate Panel Approves Spending Plan That Would Raise Pell Grants and NIH Spending
Washington
The maximum Pell Grant would increase by $69, to $4,800, and spending on the National Institutes of Health would grow by $1-billion under a spending bill approved by a U.S. Senate panel on Tuesday.
