Senate Committee Approves a Higher-Education Bill Favorable to Students and Traditional Colleges
The U.S. Senate education committee last week approved a bill to renew the Higher Education Act that appears more favorable to students and traditional colleges than legislation passed by a House of Representatives committee in July.
The bill, which the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions unanimously approved, would set federal higher-education policy for the next six years.
