Security Lapses Common at Colleges
Most colleges and universities experienced at least one breach in information-technology security during the past year, according to a study by the consultancy CDW Government Inc. and Eduventures.
In the survey of 182 college officials, 58 percent reported some kind of IT incident, and 9 percent reported a loss or theft of personal student data.
