Sculpting in Sound, Building in Harmony
On a Friday night in Union Square, yellow caution tape is wrapped around parallel rows of four-foot-high aluminum columns, which sit in round beds of pansies. A crowd of the curious, sensing that something is about to happen, has gathered around the tape. Five female dancers begin to move between the columns. As the dancers glide around them, the columns respond with the melodic sounds of katydids, flutes, and loons. The dancers' movements and the eerie music intertwine in the evening
