Scientists Urge Bush Administration to Move Forward on Stem-Cell Research
Scientists used a Senate hearing last week to ask the Bush administration to step up its efforts to finance research on stem cells taken from human embryos, a promising but controversial field.
Also at the hearing, an official of the National Institutes of Health pledged to publish within a week the full registry of colonies of embryonic stem cells eligible for studies with government funds, a crucial step toward the awarding of grants.
