Scientists Say U.S. Rules on Access to Research Records Are Better Than They Feared
Academics will not have to turn over sensitive scientific-research data to the public under a new, narrowly worded White House interpretation of a controversial federal law.
Academic researchers said they were generally satisfied with the new federal rules released this month, but maintained that those rules were based on a bad law.
