Scientists Fail to Use PAC's to Influence Policy
Science is playing its most pivotal role ever on the national political stage this year, thanks in part to the debate over stem-cell research.
But by and large, scientists themselves are not using a standard tool for gaining influence in Washington, the political-action committee. Three PAC's have been established since 2000 to support Congressional candidates who back scientific research. But so far just one, the Science Leadership PAC, has given money for this November's election
