Scientists Cheer Clarification of Proposed Rules Governing Disclosure of Data
Scientists won a key victory in August when the Clinton Administration proposed a clarification that would save recipients of federal research grants from having to disclose certain kinds of data -- such as the medical histories of research subjects -- that some scholars feared a new law would mandate.
