Scholarship Honors Late 'Jeffersons' Actress
Perhaps more Emerson College students will be "movin' on up" in the entertainment industry with the help of a new scholarship created in Isabel Sanford's name.
Ms. Sanford, who died in July, was best known for her Emmy Award-winning performance as Louise (Weezy) Jefferson on the television show The Jeffersons. A longtime friend and frequent financial supporter of Emerson College, in 1985 she delivered the college's commencement address and received an honorary degree.
