Saving the Earth's Oceans
Seen from space, the earth is clearly dominated by its oceans. Our planet is a bright blue ball, swaddled in clouds of water vapor; the continents seem an afterthought. It's the presence of oceans that sets the earth apart from the dozens of dead worlds in our solar system. Life began in the oceans, which continue to circulate the water and energy that control our climate and weather.
