Savaged in a Humor Column, Professor's Satire Is in Demand on a Web Site
Robert Burrows, 79, is a retired English professor with a passion and a self-published book, The Great American Parade. Problem was, until recently he could hardly give copies away. But suddenly the book is getting hundreds of hits on the Web site Lulu.com.
After the book was savaged in The Washington Post by the humor columnist Gene Weingarten -- he called it "the worst novel in the English language" -- Mr. Burrows was invited by the owners of Lulu.com to sell his work on
