Saudi Arabia Experiences Enrollment Boom but Struggles to Find Jobs for Graduates
This fall, 88 percent of recent high-school graduates in Saudi Arabia will head off to college — the highest percentage in the kingdom's history.
More than 100 new institutes of higher education, including 12 comprehensive universities, are under construction there. And some 42,000 Saudi students have been sent abroad on full government scholarships during the past four years.
