Santa Clara U. to Shut Down All Fraternities and Sororities
Santa Clara University, in California, has decided to end its fraternity and sorority system over the next two years.
The decision follows a five-month study of the Greek system by a committee of professors, students, and staff members.
The committee had recommended better financing for the system and greater university engagement with it, but Santa Clara's president, the Rev. Paul L. Locatelli, rejected that advice in favor of programs aimed at serving all students. Santa Clara
