Sallie Mae Hires Key Architect of Direct-Lending Program
Say it ain't so, Leo.
That was the lament of supporters of direct lending last week, when they heard that Leo Kornfeld, a primary architect of the Clinton Administration program, was now an employee of Sallie Mae, the largest private financer of student loans in the country.
