Sallie Mae Has Given More to Bush Than to Gore
From the Campaign Trail:
Sallie Mae did not want to give the appearance that it was endorsing Gov. George W. Bush when the Republican presidential candidate came to its headquarters last week to deliver a speech on education.
A spokeswoman for the largest financer of student loans said the governor's campaign had approached Sallie Mae because its Virginia headquarters has a spacious auditorium. She said Sallie Mae has now offered the same space to Vice
