Sale of Simon & Schuster Educational Units Is Approved

The U.S. Department of Justice last month cleared the $4.6-billion acquisition of Simon & Schuster's educational-, professional-, and reference-publishing divisions by Pearson P.L.C., after the British media group agreed to resolve antitrust concerns by selling off 55 higher-education titles and an elementary-school science program.
