SUNY Won't Raise Fees or Cut Academics to Close Budget Gap
Facing a $110-million budget deficit, officials at the State University of New York said this month that they would not increase tuition or cut academic programs to close the gap this year.
The deficit represents about 5 per cent of the university system's $2.4-billion budget for its campuses, hospitals, and administration.
But a system spokesman said that money had already been found to cover part of the shortfall. About $32.2-million for faculty
