SUNY Trustees Adopt Mandatory Core Curriculum for Baccalaureate Students
In the face of sharp opposition from faculty leaders, trustees of the State University of New York last month approved a new policy requiring roughly 150,000 baccalaureate students to complete a general-education curriculum in 10 subjects, including American history and Western civilization.
