SUNY-Buffalo Plans to Sell Theater
A theater in downtown Buffalo, N.Y., may soon be casting around for a new owner.
The State University of New York at Buffalo is pulling out of the Pfeifer Theatre and hopes to sell the building, which was given to the university 14 years ago. The decision boiled down to $50,000 in annual costs that university officials decided were not justifiable in the face of tight state financing, says Kerry S. Grant, dean of arts and sciences.
