Rural S. Dakota High-School Students Mob University's Distance-Education Courses
Distance education has become so popular for high-school students in South Dakota that the Legislature passed a law giving priority to school districts with the most need.
Northern State University runs a distance-education program for the state's high schools through a videoconferencing system. It lets students take upper-level high-school and advanced-placement courses at their high schools during the day.
