University That Claimed Religious Discrimination Wins Lawsuit

A federal appeals court ruled Wednesday that Colorado's higher-education coordinating board discriminated against Colorado Christian University when it denied the institution state funds for student aid on the grounds that it is "pervasively sectarian."

The decision, by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, overturns a 2007 trial court ruling (The Chronicle, May 21, 2007).
